Nick was determined enough to teach himself the in's and out's of the Art of Break Dancing. With more than 5 years of consistent B-boying experience, he describes the way he dances as stylistic, technical, energetic, powerful and fit for the Cypher (circle). He's danced with the likes of the Portland Trailbreakers, appearing in a half-time show with them. Others include, Abstrakt and Teknyc from the Skill Methods Crew as well as Poe1 and Remind from Style Elements.
Through his experience with these trendsetters of B-boying he has gained insight on how this art imitates life. Their wisdom has taught him how to use his “nerdy” nature and apply it to the way he instructs. “What one might expect to attain from my class is a firm grasp of the base of fundamentals involved with the dance”, accompanied with a detailed description of how Physics and Anatomy relates directly to Break Dancing. Alongside learning a bit of science, Cypher dynamics as well as, how to conduct yourself within a cypher, is also covered.
“I take a personable approach to how I do things. So please! When you see me, say Hi and introduce yourself!” |
